First Rule of Flying is Good Advice For Entrepreneurs

I just finished watching Joss Whedon's sci-fi epic Serenity from 2005 on Blu-ray. A wonderful movie, it features a roguish Captain, styled after Han Solo, who offers some advice on flying. His words struck a chord with me and seemed like good advice for entrepreneurs, as well as, spaceship captains. The First Rule of Flying, he says, is “Love.”
You can learn all the math in the universe, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she kneels… makes her a home.
Words worth considering for company builders and would-be captains of industry everywhere on the eve of a new decade. Happy 2010!

Serenity is one of the few perfect movies ever created. It was created because the TV series Firefly (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0303461/) was canceled; and Firefly is the one of the few perfect TV series ever created. It's only 1 season with 14 episodes. The DVD box still sells like hot cakes. Watch it and you will know more details about the story!
